When we are interested in phenomena whose causes are multiple, it is necessary to have a mastery of statistical models, to jointly study the effects of the different explanatory factors, their interactions, their correlations. Linear models and GLMs are the necessary input base for training in statistical modelling, from which one will generally specialize individually on models adapted to one’s object of study. At the end of this course, the participant will be able to build, compare, and interpret linear models and GLMs in R, but also check their conditions of application.
