Afrique One

Afrique One is a research consortium focused on the prevention and control of infectious diseases in Africa, using the One Health approach. Afrique One aims to strengthen research capacity in the areas of animal, human and environmental health in Africa, focusing on potentially zoonotic diseases, i.e. those that can be transmitted between animals and humans.

Objectives :

Afrique One brings together researchers, universities and research institutions from different African countries, as well as international partners. It promotes collaboration between these entities to conduct transdisciplinary research and share the knowledge and resources needed to combat infectious diseases.

Afrique One-REACH

Afrique One-REACH aims to address and close key capacity gaps, train future African leaders in One Health, and catalyse the systematic integration of veterinary, environmental and social sciences into public health.

Objectives :

Generate transformational knowledge (TK) for control of priority diseases via One Health approach.
Co-develop integrated intervention strategies with national health programmes and communities.
Enhance capacity and leadership of individuals and institutions by strengthening physical and virtual environments, and enhancing competence in research management, communication and networking.
