The themes addressed in this project are health, nutrition, education, and sports. In the context of low- and middle-income countries, ensuring a healthy life and promoting the well-being of children whose health depends on cultural, environmental, and socioeconomic factors

is a complex and difficult undertaking. This well-being depends on good physical and mental health, which is mediated by nutrition and physical activity.

The objective of this study, funded by the BOTNAR Foundation (2018-2021) is to examine the prevalence of infectious diseases and inflammatory and cardiovascular risk markers in three African countries and to test low-cost prevention programs combining micronutrient supplementation with physical activity to promote health and well-being in primary school children.
