Engagement for Mitigating Diseases Outcomes” (EMDO) is a small internal grant scheme designed by Afrique-One REACH for innovative interventions calling for testing and validation. EMDO funds projects of limited scope, co-funded and implemented by local actors in partnership with scientific and non-scientific stakeholders. It covers a variety of activities such as stakeholders training courses, policy dialogue, or small-scale interventions.

EMDO is designed as a vehicle for testing the applicability of One Health research results in communities together with partner NGOs, national programmes and the private sector. It is meant to raise awareness on the role of public health for local action and to promote mutual learning and knowledge-sharing between academic and non-academic partners on OH potential for health and well-being.
