Summary

In a context where all research now takes the form of projects, and needs to be designed as such to obtain funding, this module aims to give the basics of the design of a project, but also to train in the tools that ensure its proper management once launched. At the end of the module participants will understand the cycle of a project, and will be able to adjust objectives, costs and duration realistically to ensure the success of their work.

Cycle and steps of a research project
Structure of a research project and stakeholders
Project planning and management
Budget and financial accounting and management (budget – time – objectives balance)
Project writing for calls for funding, search for funding
Monitoring and evaluation of a project
Contractualisation and closure of a project.
Supervision (supervision and mentoring) of young researchers
Research profile and career plan
Institutional evaluation of research
Inclusion of minorities, gender.

Specific objectives:

At the end of the module, students are able to:
Define and plan a project, both logistically and budgetarily
Write a project and answer calls
Seek funding and partnerships
Implement a project via monitoring and evaluation
Write reports, close a project

Evaluation

A- Online QCM.

B- Each team submits a written document containing the project developed as the training stages progresses, and presents this project orally to the group.
